Review of Terms of Service
Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice is a book written by Craig W. Stanfill that tells the tale of Kim, who works at an artificial intelligence company that helps civilization. This corporation shows a civilization that has benefited from and been optimized by several artificial intelligence technologies.
The book introduces Kim as a major character in this plot. Kim exists in a society where top corporations use artificial intelligence to get involved in human lives. Kim is a worker at an AI corporation; her major work is to develop and train AI systems that interface with the world at large. As time goes by, Kim grows uninterested in her life and job. She later learns that the corporations may have been lying all this time. She begins a quest to know what secret is being hidden from the people.
This book is a dystopian novel, and just like every dystopian story, it focused on totalitarian governments and anarchism, and the author wrote well on the topics that the book touched on. The cover and title of this book were attractive and suitable, respectively. Another aspect of the book that I liked was the fact that it was divided into three parts to elicit a better understanding from its readers. The relationship Kim shared with her AI was another special feeling in that book. The AI was able to keep Kim away from trouble by sensing potholes and dangers. In summary, the book is intriguing and a page-turner; every page I read was worth reading.
Irrespective of the fact that I had paramount love for this book, I still disliked a bit of it. The author's writing skill wasn't something I was too proud of. Another thing that threw me off was the characters in this book. It was nothing to write home about; the characters were poorly developed, and no solid background information was listed for them. Even though this book brought entertainment, at some point the author left his readers hanging with some of the ambiguity that remained in this plot.
I will rate Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice by Craig W. Stanfill 4 out of 5 stars. Obviously, Craig W. Stanfill created something special with this book, and I acknowledged that, although a few dislikes made me not give it a perfect score. I will recommend this book to readers interested in dystopian stories. There are no grammatical errors in this book, so it was exceptionally edited.
