Evolutionary changes in the world today in the form of civilization are what we regard as the "computer age," where the world is so much more advanced in science and technology. Programming has become the order of the day, and artificial intelligence has been introduced. Today, AI is taking the place of man. It is so amazing that inanimate objects will be set to control humanity. Craig W. Stanfill describes how AI will dominate mankind by controlling them from making decisions or having the freedom to do so in one of his books titled Terms of Service: subject to change without notice.

Kim is the chief character in this book; she is a young staff member that lives and works in the AI company headquarters as an automata trainer. Kim, like every other individual, was separated from her mother as early as four years, when she did not know much about her. She had a neural implant, and a mentor was assigned to assist and control her. Even as an adult, she had never had freedom of her own, and this creates a mental emptiness she feels that cannot be filled. This causes her dissatisfaction because she seems to want freedom even after she was promoted to the highest position in the company. To know her fate at the end, grab your copy.

The positive aspects of this book that interest me most are the simplicity of the plot settings in English, which makes it easier for the reader and increases the reader's reading pace. The author makes the story seem so real and interesting to the reader. The way the chapters were segmented into parts, with each having a heading, is another advantage that makes the work superb.

After a careful reading of this book, I have so many lessons to learn. I came to understand that having independence is what a man should aspires for. I also learned that, aside from freedom, there will be a perfect world where people don't worry much about anything. Again, I learned that only human beings can create and build artificial intelligence.

The book's only flaw and drawback, which I also dislike, is that all of the characters were addressed using feminine pronouns, which obscures any distinction between their genders. I could also find only one profane word used repeatedly by the author. The book doesn't contain any typos or grammatical errors, so to say that the work was exceptionally well-edited, for the reasons mentioned above, I rate the book 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend the book to anyone who enjoys science fiction and fantasy. Also, I advise individuals who work in AI companies and are programmers.
