Review of The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci
The girl who knew Da Vinci is a work of fiction that evolves around Angela Renatus and her connection with her past lives. Angela has lived her life so far striving to fulfil her dreams of being successful in the art world. She fought so hard to get her internship at the Getty Museum. Angela's dream job of a lifetime became a nightmare, having to stomach the annoying sexual advances of Scordato, the director of the museum and the most pressing of all was the vivid dreams and visions of past events that left her confused and caused her sleepless nights.
The story kicks off with a meeting with Alexander Caine, a private investigator who specialized in retrieving stolen art and wanted her as his partner. Could this be a way out for her from this miserable internship and a risk to her career? Angela was having dreams that had a connection to Guiliano Medici and Leonardo Da Vinci about the mystery of the missing painting which may have been taken from the Uffizi Gallery in 1944. They felt a strong connection towards each other, feeling like they'd met before, lived before and had been lovers before. Is reincarnation possible? Everything about their finding each other seemed plotted like a supernatural force was directing their actions. Some many unanswered questions and Angela is the key to the mystery. Would they be able to overcome all this and move on with their lives? What obstacles are on their way and how will they survive?
I must admit that this is an intriguing romantic story unlike any other I have read. The author takes you on a journey of how Angela and Alex's relationship develops amongst all this mystery but their love is something that surpasses just romantic feelings, their connection has to do with their souls. The story is well-detailed allowing us to get to know both characters in-depth and their experiences through loss, fear and uncertainty. Also, the inclusion of enlightening and intellectually inspiring conversations between both characters revolve around love, connectedness and passion.
The author has a unique style of describing everything which shines through on every page of the book. A lot of effort was put into describing the main character's feelings in the book, even down to the different feelings in the molecules of their body. Nonetheless, the novel did not lack descriptive sex scenes. Readers will find this book so interesting. I had anticipation asIi read through each page. I also got great insights into what life holds.
Furthermore, the novel was professionally edited though I came across some grammar errors and profane words. I loved every aspect of the novel and I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you love romance novels, I strongly recommend that you read this book.
