In It Together - A Review

When I first read the name of this book, In It Together, I wondered if it was a story about a family going through struggles. Indeed, it is about a family, it is about struggles; but it is not just any story. It is about the reality and the absolute truth of life. It is about the only family that we all have taken birth into- The Human Race. The book’s subtitle is the perfect description of the knowledge it holds- The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All.

Eckhart Aurelius Hughes has given us a book, which can keep taking you back to yourself, a reset of the mind, so to speak. I say this because I felt it, through every chapter that I read. The book and the teachings flow like a river- strong, constant, consistent and cleansing.

In It Together tells us about the most important power that humankind possesses- Love. Love is the solution to all evils and problems. It is the key to opening doors that cannot be opened through negotiations, meditations or bridging gaps of knowledge. Love together with Faith and Belief can win the world, dispel all the pains, darkness and strife. This book is like a manual which guides us on the topic - How to achieve Spiritual Freedom. You can read it and understand but you can only comprehend when you really apply it in everyday life.

In It Together tells us clearly that humans are not just flesh and body but there is a Real You hidden deep within the folds of the physical structure that we call the human body. The Real You is synonymous to the word Spirit. The Spirit is boundless, unconditionally loving, unconditionally truthful, unconditionally accepting and a constant conscious presence. It is called presence because it simply lives in the present. Our bodies, needs, desires, in short our ego and our physical form are analogous to clothes- our spirit is the real deal and the body and everything around it is merely momentary.

Throughout the book, chapters like The Two Yous, How to Free your Spirit and Manifest your Love etc. feels like a loving elder is guiding and imparting the most important lessons of our life- telling us how to get out of our heads and go deeper into our spirit because the Inner Peace we seek is already there within, for us to experience.

If you want to experience epiphanies, this is the book to read. It comprised of many tear-jerking moments for me. How many times did I realize that the line that I just read was mirroring my exact thoughts! The author has perfectly penned the knowledge, which has been passed down by many spiritual leaders throughout history, in a condensed and yet simple language that can be really understood by anybody who can read and understand English. Once you start reading, it feels like you are having a conversation with your own self.

I took a considerable amount of time to read this book. But this beautiful book deserved every second of the time I could spend on it. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars or 5 out of 5 stars because this book has so many real and profound thoughts, learnings and an absolutely perfect delivery of every piece of spiritual information that we as the struggling humans need. Further justification for the rating is not really needed, but here is my explanation for it- the book has been diligently and meticulously edited, the language is simple and yet wholesome and it packs a perfect punch for the humankind.

Thank you, Eckhart Aurelius Hughes, for this beautiful and divine one-of-a-kind book, which really is, to describe in one line, ‘A book with an internal monologue with the Real You.’
