Review of Natural Relief for Anxiety and Stress
Many people suffer in silence from stress and anxiety and never open up. Many see opening up as a sign of them being weak. Why do individuals keep hurting themselves this way?
Natural Relief for Anxiety and Stress by Gustavo Kinrys, MD, is a nonfiction book that teaches us how to handle various troubles we have, such as stress, anxiety, and fear, and how to better scale through these issues and come out on top. The book tells us about what anxiety is and what it entails, its symptoms, examples, and solutions to all of them.
From this book, you'd get to know that some anxiety disorders involve the experience of panic attacks that are accompanied by real terror and fear and symptoms such as nausea, confused thinking, difficulty breathing, and trembling. These sensations can last anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. Of course, the author would not talk about anxiety without talking about stress and fear. I also got to know that stress refers to strain from the conflict between our external environment and ourselves, which leads to emotional and physical pressure. If we should dive into the topic of stress, we'd see that that's something that we all can relate to. There are also symptoms of stress, which are either physical symptoms or behavioral symptoms. I read this book meticulously because I knew this was information that does not always come easily in such a package. The book didn't leave any detail out when it was talking about the subject, and I really like that. Occasionally, when you read some books, the author tends to deviate from the subject and begin to discuss things that don't relate to the book. The author also mentioned medications that could be taken to help relieve such ailments. These medications are of different types, and he stated judiciously how they can help patients.
What I disliked about this book was how I was lost when it came to understanding some medical terms. I found it hard to understand some of these terms without browsing through their meanings to understand them better, and that made reading the book stressful. Besides that, I really learned a lot.
I am rating this book four out of five stars because of my dislike of the book as stated above. I did not find any grammatical or spelling errors, which means it was exceptionally well-edited. Furthermore, I recommend this book to readers who would love to know better ways to handle their stress, anxiety, and fear.
