Review of OnlineBookClub Magazine- 1st Edition (December 2022)
OnlineBookClub Magazine- 1st Edition (December 2022) by Scott Hughes and S. Jeyran Main is the maiden edition of the community's magazine publication. In this magazine, authors are interviewed. These authors give helpful tips to writers, using their journey and experience. Also, there are featured reviews and short stories by members of the community. As a book-loving communication, OnlineBookClub has given over $10,000 in prizes. There are poetry and art contests, where a thousand dollars is given to the top winner. Also, many authors have been featured in the edition of the magazine publication.
I think one of the beautiful things about reading this magazine was the fact that I did not know what to expect from it. I was unable to get a description of this publication before reading it, so I read it with an open mind. Firstly, I was greeted by the beautiful layout of this magazine. For magazines, I'm always particular about aesthetics. It was a pleasure to see the beautiful color combinations and designs used in this work. This drew me in, and I was immediately receptive to the content of this book.
The content was valuable. What I loved the most was the feedback I got from different authors. Having read many of these books, I was thrilled to have a perspective from these distinguished authors. Some of them shared their stories, and it was impressive to see life from their perspectives. There was a piece of advice from an author that struck me. As accomplished as she is, many readers do not like her works. What I learned from this is that no matter how good you are, you can't satisfy everyone. Secondly, she has accepted this truth. So, she does not write for everyone. She doesn't let the dislike from others invalidate her success. She finds her target and sticks with it.
This is a work put together by lovers of books and writers. As expected, there are no errors in it. It was perfectly edited. The only thing I felt could be better was the depth of the interview. I wanted more questions to be asked and more answers to be provided. Also, the size of the fonts made it a bit difficult to read because of how small it was. Compared to how insightful I found this magazine to be, I felt the positive sides greatly outweighed my concerns. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend this book to members of this community. I believe it will inspire them. Writers and readers are welcome to see the perspectives of authors in this magazine.
