Dark Matter Empire by Alex Zadeh is a book that takes us on a journey through outer space across the galaxies .Ryan Stathis finds himself commander of an alien spaceship protecting a small device that can create wormholes through space.

Leaving the people that he cares about, and everything that is familiar to him, Ryan sets off in hopes of keeping earth safe. Ryan is required to forget everything he knew about life. He had to learn to adapt and accept that life outside his world was going to be different but it turns out to be less difficult than he anticipated with his new and unexpected friends. Each of these friends had their own little story and experience with The Empire. Ryan and his new friends joined forces and worked together to take down The Empire. The future of the universe was on Ryan's shoulders.

Dark Matter Empire is an interesting book that keeps you absorbed into the plot from the start. It will especially intrigue and captivate readers who are fascinated by space and the idea of extraterrestrial life. The amazing part of how one small device can have a huge impact on the universe and how it takes one puny person to save the device from complete devastation motivates the reader to believe that they are capable of accomplishing the impossible. We learn selflessness from Ryan as he takes this journey. At any given time he had the opportunity to go back home and put this problem behind him however he chose to stay and protect everything he cared about at the risk of his own life.

At some point in the novel I felt that there were too many profanities in the novel. The novel also seemed to drag on for some parts however the satirical inclusions and adventure drew the reader back into the plot.

I would give the book a 3 out of 4 stars. Personally I did not appreciate the vulgarities. Otherwise I found the book interesting and would definitely recommend this to other readers.
