Timewise by Robert Leet is a science fiction novel that centers around an orphan boy and quantum physics. The story began as Ron talks about his childhood and how he met Regina on several occasions and fell in love with her. He didn’t know that meeting her will change his life. Ron is smart and curious, he then later taught himself to play poker and is quite passionate about it. For a while, he wanders around because he doesn’t really know what to do and he is trying to make ends meet. When he thought life was falling apart for him, Regina showed up one afternoon on his doorstep and offered him an allowance to pursue his college. This gave him the chance to frequently see Regina and inevitably falls harder for her. However, as he got closer to her, he slowly got entangled with her theories about quantum physics. Slowly, he was introduced to an idea or a world he would not have imagined before. This pivots his life from ordinary to extraordinary.

The story was told through the eyes of the protagonist, Ron, and I liked that it is done well. The character of Ron is well established and it shows in how he told the story. One of the book's themes is about quantum physics, which permeates through the story as there are a lot of explanations about it. I think that this adds charm to the story; how the author played about the different possibilities of how we see reality and showed it through the story of Ron.

The only problem for me is that the beginning of the story is kind of slow-paced for my preference. It took a while for things to actually happen. At first, it’s hard to grasp the direction of the story. I guess the author was trying to establish the information. I would say that the beginning part did not pique my interest that much, and it took me a few pages before I got into it.

I gave this a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. There were no typographical errors, the format was excellent, and it was well-edited. Even though I found it slow-paced at first, I think it’s a minor issue I can ignore because overall, after the first few pages, I became engaged in the story and started to enjoy it.

I recommend this to readers of science fiction, specifically, the one who has a penchant for science like quantum physics.
