Review of Man Mission
Man mission by Eytan Uliel is a story that tells about the adventures and journey of four friends on a trip called man mission. During the trip, the four friends came across many adventures which test their bravery. The four friends from college make a decision that every year they get together for a week-long trip called man mission. At first, it was only a trip for them but when they step into real-life challenges like marriage, family, and career, they find the trip an escaping platform from the upright life to an audacious one in which they wanted and test their masculinity. Over the years they made the trip more daring by adding many activities. And in these years, they visited New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Japan, South Africa, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan, Peru, the United States of America, and Iceland. Each country gave them distinct knowledge about the culture, food, and meeting people with different tastes in life. Each of the four friends shows their own features throughout the adventure like Daniel who is a good planner, Sam who is persistent and the narrator who strains to keep up the bravery with his fellows.
There are many things done by the four friends which will give the reader startling as well as hilarious experiences while reading. They came across drug dealers and wild animals. And the pink bracelet they have which should be worn by the person who whined most. There are many positive aspects in this book, the plot is well developed and each chapter has an adventure in it which will give the reader a worthy significance about life. The flashback brought between the plot advancement is one of the main positives I found which will help the reader not to lose interest in the book. The narrator also shows the personal lives of the friends, their weaknesses, and their strengths. And the use of imagery in the narration helped me to create an image of the places they explored.
I couldn’t find anything to dislike in the book. What I found from this book was that traveling will give us much knowledge and experience in life as we meet and experience new people and places. And how we understand the people around us has a big role in our life. I like the storytelling done from a first and third-person perspective.
I genuinely find this book entertaining and there is no reason to reduce the rating. It is properly edited. There are many things that will make the reader keep reading without losing curiosity such as the sumo wrestling, the pink bracelet, and the roaring lion in South Africa.so I would like to rate four out of four stars for this book.
And I will recommend this book to readers who love adventure stories. People who love to travel could also read it. More than that this book is a great one for people who wants to read a good book.
