Review of Fear Not, Dream Big, & Execute
Sometimes we feel so unbothered and reluctant about our future. In my local community, we have this very famous diviner who people from far and near come to meet for him to describe their future for them. I wouldn't want to doubt the authenticity of his vision. But I believe every human can trigger a dream and work towards it. Every human can dream and has dreamt in one way or another. We only need a guide that would help us nurture this dream to the reality that's what the book Fear Not, Dream Big, & Execute by Jeff Meyer has to offer.
Jeff Meyer, no doubt, is an amazing and impactful writer. This book could prove that. Humans are unique beings and, according to the author, we in no way have a part in someone else's dream. No two individuals share a dream. Using a random analysis, I would say 60% of people live in someone else's dream. Which means we have 60% of our dormant dreams yet to be triggered or actualized. I am particularly interested in lesson 6 because I understood the general and specific nature of dreams. I was quite confused at first. How could there be a general dream? Because I am only conversant with the specific I was overwhelmed by the kind of mind-blowing revelation I got from here. The same question would be on your mind: what is the general nature of a dream? Grab a copy to find out.
Wow, words can explain my dumbfoundedness. I am so into this book. I like the lessons. After reading this book, I went to access myself using the lessons and exercises provided by the author at the end of each chapter. I found out that I am lagging in my dream actualization. I loved the author's motives for this book. It was more like a practical guide, not for fun. He wants us to be able to spark our unique dream, which is supposed to be the concern and priority of everyone.
Speaking about the general organization and aesthetics of this book, I would say the author did an amazing job. The book's cover and title page rhymed with the book's contents. The book seemed so complete, talking about how it started and how it ended. Also, the contents did not deviate from the title. Finally, this book was error-free which shows it was well-edited.
However, the writing style wasn't that appealing to me. I came across many complex words and sentences, which weren't suitable for this kind of book. Finally, the lessons seemed to have come in an unrelated manner. Based on what has been said, I would rate this book 3 out of 4 stars.
I would recommend this to lovers of practical Christian and self-help books.
