Honestly, for me the book was not worth it, the author did not know how to handle the relationship between the sisters, or the relationship of any character in reality, from the beginning I could notice that none of the characters really had any kind of relationship with the other. The way Amanda talks about her sister says it all, in comments like "So, if Saira dies today, does she go to hell for worshiping an imaginary deity?; "do something a normal six-year-old would do" which is something that clearly isn't going to happen because, surprise surprise, she's not a typical 6-year-old girl. The author tries so hard to try to convey that their relationship changed after the Saira incident that their interactions are already awkward. The only part I can say was entertaining was the part where the deity of death appears to Dr. Connor outside the hospital and they carry out this vicious deal. The story isn't that bad, but clearly, It wasn't enough for me to like it.
