The eSmith Eye Story, written by GranRan, is the story of a gray fox, eSmith and his adventures in the Fairytale Land. It is a collection of three stories - Turn a Blind Eye, One Eye Open, and The Blue Diamond Heist.

The protagonist of the story is a cunning fox called eSmith. He falls in love with a red-furred vixen who is a slave of a wolf called Zeke. eSmith decides to free her from Zeke and Zeke asks for barter in return. To ensure her freedom, eSmith goes along with his friend Brubarker, a dog. eSmith has to bring the barter within three full moons to free the vixen and he decides to carry out a heist to get the barter. The first story, 'Turn a Blind Eye', is about freeing the vixen and the troubles they face while doing it. The second story, 'The Blue Diamond Heist', is about eSmith's attempt to steal a blue diamond from the raccoons. The final story, 'One Eye Open', is about eSmith becoming responsible in his life. Can eSmith free the vixen and live happily with her? With Zeke, Brutus, and many others opposite him, can eSmith carry out his plans?

The book was interesting. eSmith's character is shown with positives and negatives and it makes the character more interesting. The friendship with Brubarker and their adventures together are wonderfully portrayed. The illustrations in the story make it look more attractive and understanding. The animals are given human qualities, so as to make them more understandable. Things happening in the real world is altered to fit with the fantasy. For instance, "I'm your man", is replaced as "I'm your fox" in the story. The human world is also shown in the story and it shows the bitter truth of humans and their attitude towards animals.

Al though The eSmith Eye Story was interesting to read, it was filled with a lot of grammatical mistakes. The grammatical mistakes make it difficult to enjoy the book on a complete level. Other than that, I felt no other problem with the book.

I would give it a 3 out of 4 stars rating. I reduced a star due to the above-mentioned reason.

This book can be equally read and enjoyed by everyone, but I feel that children would enjoy it more. The illustrations and the absence of profanities or mature scenes make it suitable for children to read and enjoy it.
