In this creative fictional novel, Killing Abel, Micheal Tieman attempts to complete some stories in the scripture from his imagination, where he wrote from a third-person point of view.

Tieman started with the story of how Eve was deceived in the garden of Eden, what transpired between her and the serpent at the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and how the serpent was able to convince Eve to disobey God, triggering God's wrath. This led to their exile from the garden of Eden. The author explained that God's action in exiling them was a means of protection and not punishment. Find out more exciting speculations from the author in this sensational book.

This book encourages the reader to explore the scripture, and it centres on how to deal with guilt, the consequences and the reward of sin, anger, and jealousy. It also emphasises God's unfailing love for man and the plan of redemption. The story was narrated sequentially to how it happened in the Bible.

The book centres more on the book of Genesis. I have read the book of Genesis so many times, but this book made me more conversant with the name of the descendants of Adam, which are things we often overlook. It was written like a commentary and shows light on silent points that one might overlook.
Reading the book is like watching a movie because the events keep playing on the reader's mind.

I liked the creative and imaginative nature of the author and his ability to make the book realistic. This book is not fast-paced, as it gave a detailed understanding of what happened in the first few chapters of the Bible. I liked how he portrayed each character, giving a detailed description of the roles they played and how the author made historical events very easy and interesting for one to read.

On the downside, I found out that some events in this book are not coherent with the scriptures. For instance, where the author wrote that Lucifer taught Adam and Eve the way of the garden. The scripture only recorded Lucifer deceiving this couple to disobey God. There was no indication that he taught them any other thing. However, this did not deter my enjoyment of this book, as I love every other part of this book. Subsequently, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

The Bible is not incomplete, and as Christians, our ability to ponder scriptures consistently to decipher their mysteries makes it worthwhile. We can't know what is in the mind of God. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves reading stories from the Bible.

I've always viewed the Bible as, among things, a history book. Modern authors taking these stories from history and writing them form a different point of view--a more modern one---is one of my favorite genres. Thank you or this review.
