There’s a difference between seeing and looking. When you look at something, you passively place your eyes on it. However, when you see something, you completely grasp what you are beholding. You not only involve your eyes but also your mind. That is why two people can see the same thing from different points of view even though they are looking at the same situation. John W. Bullock in Seeing with Fresh Eyes .

The book is about Christianity and seeing everything that one has been taught before in a different light. From another point of view, with fresh eyes. There are so many Christians who have based their faith on things that they have been taught before or through the faith and testimonies of others. The author encourages anyone who picks up this book to read to unmask their eyes. Not to read the book in haste, but to carefully consider and ponder upon all the verses and positions held in the book.

This was an easy and quick read. What I liked most about the book was the fact that the author used his own life experiences and stories of his Christian journey to make the book relatable. The author also incorporated Bible stories and verses to back up his theories. This is very good because basing his words on the Bible validated his points and encouraged me to read more. The book was well-paced. The stories in the book broke the monotony as they introduced humour, which brought more excitement. They also made the book less boring. The fact that it was a short read encouraged me to read it to the end.

I did not spot any spelling mistakes or grammatical errors in the book. This led me to believe it was well edited because I did not spot any editorial issues in the book. I did not gather any negative thoughts while reading the book. I believe the author did a good job in writing and editing the book. I, therefore, have no negative comments about it.

4 out of 4 would be an appropriate rating for this book. I’m not a person who enjoys spiritual books. However, this one was different. I enjoyed reading it. I also would like to commend the author for making the points short and straight to the point. The book was interesting and very informative. I would like to recommend the book to Christians who would like to revamp their faith in Christ.
