Review of A Dream For Peace
[Following is a volunteer review of "A Dream For Peace" by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah.]
Firstly, A Dream For Peace is a posthumous memoir following the life of Ghoulem Berrah. This book remains a delicacy legacy to his life. Ghoulem Berrah was born in Constantine, Algeria. This book entails the time of his youth to his marriage and work, A Dream For Peace describes Ghoulem’s courage and hope in detail. In seventeen chapters, each chapter touring different topics that led to the freedom of Africans and scientific discovery that changed the world for the better. A Dream For Peace remains a delightful biography with colourful pictures following a compiling story about honour, love, and peace.
From prison to a renowned African-American scientist, an extra ordinary memoir that goes into the world of the unknowns. To be honest each chapter holds the possibilities of being another book, I did not find this book attractive nor was I ready to read it but the experience was totally different as this is a well-written book set in Africa. If you have read history before and suddenly existing beliefs are challenged, I have found this book to be more than compiling enough for a memoir. Ghoulem held strong principles about politics and life for more than fifty-years. The writer's experience is inspiring and his role in the wars against oppression were magnificent.
However, the political view in this book seems to be one sided, and it seem to support western ideologies and avoiding to accept the consequences that those ideologies brought into the world. I highly recommend this book to history readers. This is an excellent, and amazing book I have found very informative as this story keeping flowing with historical pictures and achievements that Berra received from one corner of the world to another.
Moreover, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as I found it meeting all standards for a good book, no errors in grammar and punctuation. A Dream For Peace was exceptionally edited. The book is 4 stars due to its good structures, content, and that it was extremely written for knowledge and inspiring purposes. A Dream for Peace is one of the best books I have read this year, now only does it review a part of African that I was not aware of, it clearly adds value.
Lastly, I recommend A Dream For Peace to academics, historians, and good literature readers. I had judged this book before reading it because of the cover, but once I started, I could not stop turning pages to see how the writer's story came to an end. This memoir’s perspective on life remains that of meaningful work and service to mankind.
