The MECE Muse by Christie Lindor is a book about consulting. It covers topics like how to get started, what to expect and how to stay motivated throughout your career. It’s aimed at those who are interested in pursuing a career as a consultant, but it also has advice for established consultants who want to improve their business or try something new. There are chapters on everything from building a client base to finding work-life balance.

The book provides a detailed guide on consulting. It covers everything from where to start and how to get clients, to what you should charge and when you should quit your job. It also includes advice for those who are already consultants but looking for ways to improve their business. One of my favourite parts of the MECE Muse is that it shows you how to work smarter, not harder. A lot of books tell you to work long hours and neglect your family life in order to be successful as a consultant. That may have been true in decades past, but today it doesn’t make sense anymore because there are so many new tools available for getting business done faster than ever before.

The MECE Muse is very detailed. A lot of information can be found in each chapter, and it could be overwhelming for some readers. Also, some information may not apply to everyone, such as those that are self-employed or work for small businesses. However, I believe that most will find value in at least one area of expertise covered in The MECE Muse. This book has a great deal of wisdom packed into its pages. It would make a great addition to any business owner’s library.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars since I found it to be a very thorough book. It covers a lot of ground and has great insights that are both helpful and actionable. There is a lot of good advice on how to apply what you learn from reading her book in your own consulting business. She also gives some specific examples of how she applied these concepts at different points in her career which helps bring them to life.

If you are interested in consulting and want to know more about what it takes to be successful, The book is well-written and offers great advice for anyone looking to break into consulting or grow their business. People who have never considered working as a consultant may find themselves rethinking their current career path after reading through some of these tips and stories.
