Job’s wife is famous for her "Curse God, and die" verse in The Bible. But no one even cared to see things from her perspective and that’s exactly what Cynthia Koelker did. The book, The Legacy of Job’s Wife, is an amazing piece of work, that includes the innocence and purity of love.

The book begins with the birth of Ix'ises, our central character, and her life. As a girl, she’s seen excited and adventurous. From the moment she was born, when she was first held by Job, till the end of the times, they were inseparable, through ups and downs. Her childhood and her married life with Job worked out so perfectly. They were seen happy and blessed with wealth and children. Until…

The first thing I've got to say about this book is its creation itself. The author has picked someone from the Bible itself whom we all pictured not as a Godly person. The thought that Cynthia Koelker had, to see things from her side is absolute creativity. The second thing is the working out of the plots. We have to admit that it is not that easy to write a story about someone that’s in the Bible without affecting the faith of the people and the facts in it. Cynthia has successfully achieved this by going parallel to what's written in the book of Job.

The language. She has written it so perfectly in the first person without any lack of drama or thrill. Every emotion, the innocence, the happiness, the romance, and even the dialogues, are written and edited so well. The standard of the book is kept high and alive throughout the pages.

I'm compelled to give a 4 out of 4 stars for The Legacy of Job’s Wife. I wonder why it still feels like I have not said much about the book. If you are someone with a taste of historical romance, this is the best choice for you. Some may find it offensive, as it contains some scenes with animal harming, plus it’s a work influenced from the Bible, so it's more leaning towards Christianity. So, what are you waiting for? Go on and find out what made a lovely woman say those words.
