It's the year 2040, a world where technology thrives and the destruction of humanity has begun. People cannot live without the P-7500 and they seem to be just about everywhere. Everything is perfect, just the way Pulse wants it. But some would take extreme measures to expose the facade that Pulse has going on. Pietro is a man apart of Anti-P, a secret organization that is trying to expose Pulse and is currently trying to do everything in power to save animals and nature. Being a world traveler leads him to New York, where he meets an untimely death on one of his trips where he encounters a creature he has never seen before and realizes that everyone at the Pulsefest will surely find themselves facing this horrifying monster. Amber was not born from the womb but created as a part of a project, in which her creators had lost her and has since been looking for her. She is also part of Anti-P and is on a mission with many others to expose Pulse at the Pulsefest, but things don't go as planned. People have been turning into flesh-eating monsters with pale skins and fang-like teeth. Only a handful of people are left fending for themselves. Amongst them is E, a detective that finds herself entwined into this terrifying reality and works with Eric, a man that helped created Pulse, under the impression that it would help the world but was turned into a money-making scheme by his once close friend Mark. Pulse is behind everything besides the rising of these vamp-creatures. So the question to be asked is, who is responsible for the destruction of humanity? Who created such vile creatures and what is their motive behind it? Want to find out? Go ahead and indulge yourself in a mind-swirling novel, it's one you will not regret.

This novel is a real page-turner. I couldn't stop reading it, and it made me want to sit and finish it in one go. I enjoyed reading about the character of Amber and wished there was more about her.

I disliked the way that the names of each character were repeated in each view whereas, in the beginning, the name of the character was already mentioned, hence in my opinion there was no need for it to be repeated.

Overall, Pulse, written by B.A. Bellec is an outstanding novel and I would rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars .

This book is highly recommended for young adults and mature readers. It is not for the faint of heart as it contains blood, gore, and mild use of vulgar language.
