The MECE Muse by Christie Lindor as the title implies is a mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive piece which distinctively and inclusively describes consulting as a profession, a way of life, and an experience to have in itself. The culture imparted from childhood (especially good behaviors and manners) has been shown via this book to take individuals to their farthest points. I do not think there is a better way to enlighten individuals with regards to the subject matter (what it takes to be a consultant and much more) that has been vastly and richly discussed in this book. Some risks are definitely worth it (seriously speaking), and every negative experience definitely has a take home with the capacity to further develop you to attain your greatest dreams. The author's point of view was directly conveyed in the statement, "the grass is not greener on the other side but rather where the grass is watered". The concept of being productive without being inhuman, condescending, and negatively competitive is definitely accepted and true, especially with individuals who truly seek to blossom at all perspectives of their being.

The MECE Muse has 445 pages and 21 chapters with the addition of two distinct appendixes (A and B respectively) dedicated to references and summarized take homes for the reader to ruminate upon. It utilizes real experiences of over 12 professionally recognized individuals such as Siva, Berko, Nalika, Jennifer, and Christie to provide qualitative insight with regards to the expectations, achievements, nature, and disappointments associated with being in the profession, but not limited to the profession (consulting) itself. Is empathy, courtesy, and humor a weakness in the corporate world? Does my love for what I do have a role to play in my overall success? This wonderful book will provide all the answers you seek in an organised, interesting, and elaborate manner.

The book is an intellectually fortified piece written with the reader at heart, it succinctly describes the environment, people, and nature of consulting as a profession which I find very interesting. The author crafts the book like an extensive advisory note strictly designed to cover the relevant aspects of the reader and his or her concern with respect to their future aspirations (especially in the area of work). The questions, facts, methods, and thought processes described are simple, applicable, and indepth. The compilation of accounts from various professionals makes the book very realistic, insightful, and relatable. Every discourse, achievement, disappointment, makes the book more motivational, and inspiring. I found everything to be of value, and did not find anything to dislike about the book.

My rating of the book is a 4 out of 4. It is well-edited, structured, and qualitative. It is a book I believe every fresh school leaver, aspiring workers, and seasoned veterans in the corporate and non-corporate system should have at the back of their minds.

I recommend the book to business personalities (both experienced and otherwise), entrepreneurs in the making, undergraduates and the youth in particular, as it may serve as a guide to enabling them achieve their desired goals and objectives.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful review. I do not think I will read this book because it is not appealing to me. Keep up the good work.
