Manifesto for a Cancer Patient by Colleen Huber, NMD is a book that explains the power, the rights and the freedom that a cancer patient has. The book is divided into part one and part two. Part 1 has 12 chapters and in those chapters, the author explains what happens when a person is diagnosed with cancer, what rights the person has, it advises the person what to do to defeat cancer, it explains the mistakes the person can make while trying to defeat cancer and the risks and benefits of both chemotherapy and natural treatments in treating cancer. The author also explains to us why the hospitals are forcing cancer patients to take chemotherapy whereas there are other more effective treatments than chemotherapy that the patients can take.

Part two consists of 10 chapters. The author on part 2 explains why cancer is beatable and gives advice on the diet a cancer patient should follow, explains the importance of exercise in defeating cancer and explains the odds you have when diagnosed with cancer.

What I like about this book is that the author is bold enough to speak the truth that many people would not dare to speak because they would afraid of the backlash they would get from those they are exposing. I also like that the author exposes the fact that sometimes hospitals do not care about the well-being of cancer patients, all they care about is the money they can make from giving them chemotherapy treatment that is not even necessary for the type of cancer they have. The author uses capital letters to highlight something fishy that cancer patients should lookout for on their journey to recovery while they are being treated at hospitals. What I like most is that she shares the same belief with me that natural medicine is more effective than pharmaceutical remedies because pharmaceutical remedies may remove the symptom that you have but they will leave a side effect that may kill you.

There is nothing that I did not like about this book because, reading it filled me with knowledge about different cancer treatments, how to support cancer patients and how to take care of myself to limit the chances of getting cancer and I appreciate the author for that.

I rate this book 4 out of 4, because it exposes doctors and hospitals that want to rob us using our health conditions and it makes us to be careful of such doctors and hospitals and not fall victim to their money making schemes. I also give it a full rating because it is a well written book that does not have any grammatical or spelling errors.

I recommend this book to doctors, medical students, cancer patients and everyone who is mature enough to read because cancer may hit anyone in our families and the knowledge one can obtain from this book, will help in fighting and defeating it.
