Can a regular day in the USA turn into a nightmare? Some people will say that it can. I'm not talking about a nightmare on an individual level. I am talking about a national nightmare. One that will get every person from every continent talking. This example looks like it would be the reality for the American people when a plan to kill the president was uncapped. Using code words, a group of terrorists communicated their plans to assassinate the leader of the free world. Fortunately, Cynthia's team of private investigators uncapped this unholy plot. These investigators proceeded to work hard to bring about their failure. They discuss the best strategy to use to cause these terrorists to fail. They hope to also arrest them. Times are tough. But it will be worse if these evil men succeed, no matter what the good ones do. Everything summarized up here s expanded upon in Cynthia and Dan.

Dorothy May Mercer aptly named this novel after the protagonist and her unrelenting boyfriend. I liked that the name was as simple as that. It showed that Cynthia was in a relationship. She was in a relationship that faced problems. It also showed how Cynthia addressed these problems. Whether or not she acted like a coward in her relationship will be revealed in the story.

I will like to mention what I liked the most about Cynthia and Dan. That is the important but controversial topic that Dorothy May Mercer wrote about. This topic is abortion. While the author did not expressly support or oppose it, she did inform me of possible alternatives. Nobody plans for an unwanted pregnancy. However, the decision one makes concerning that will change one's life forever. Even though she did not give a lecture on this topic, she helped me understand that it should never be the end of the world for anybody.

I did not hate anything in Cynthia and Dan. I was too engrossed in enjoying the plot and story to see or notice any wrong thing in the book. I have noticed that all of Dorothy May Mercer's books have this effect on me. E M P Honeymoon was the same. I am sure that many others will feel the same way as me. So, I liked everything in Cynthia and Dan as much as I liked E M P Honeymoon. In addition, it was edited excellently or exceptionally.

Finally, I rate this novel, titled Cynthia and Dan, 4 out of 4 stars. The justification for this is that I liked everything that Dorothy May Mercer showed me in this book. The experience was golden. I recommend Cynthia and Dan to readers who enjoy books about terrorists. Having terrorists isn't the main catch. The response of the anti-terrorist group is the main deal. If you like books like that, read this novel.
