Review of The Different Kinds Of Monsters
After First, a dinosaur, dies during the Jurassic period, a slow and painful death, she swears to revenge on the thing that would wake her again to the life that tortured her. The Armitage family, however, is unfortunate to be the family that suffers the consequences as a result of their ancestor's actions. Dylan Armitage, together with his father and mother have to move from one place to another and all the while they are followed by the pre-historic beast. Dylan's daughter later grows up to realise the trouble that haunts her family and is determined to help rid of this monster. But is it possible to destroy this kind of monster?
The Different Kind Of Monsters by Seth Chambers is an interesting, entertaining, and educative book. The author talks about monsters like dinosaurs including T-rex, triceratops, brontosaurus, sauropods and many others. He also talks about people's behaviours that make them monsters. Dylan believes that he grew up to be one of those men who charm the whole world but bring their ugly home. The book moves from the Jurassic period to the 21st Century with both stories well-written and connected. The book contains a lot of life lessons to be learnt and teaches some of the survival skills. The book contains many characters who are well built and introduced making it easier for the reader to connect the stories that are told and therefore, better understood.
My favourite character in the book is Bob Dylan who is Madison's dad. The story is told mostly from his perspective and he well clarifies his feelings as well as other people's feelings. This book had a lot of positive aspects that I loved. I however found one negative aspect in the book. The transition from reality to dreams was somehow rugged and it was easy to notice the drifting which in my opinion could be partially hidden to make it more interesting.
I rate The Different Kinds Of Monsters by Seth Chambers 4 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed the reading of this book. I did not give this book a lower rating as the negative aspect mentioned above was a minor one and could not be enough reason to reduce the rating. The book was also very appealing and interesting. I did not find any grammatical or punctuation error in the book indicating that The Different Kinds Of Monsters by Seth Chambers was exceptionally well-edited.
I recommend this book to readers above the age of 18 who love the knowledge of dinosaurs. This book contains different kinds of dinosaurs including new and improved models such as the torvosaurus. I recommend this book to people above the age of 18 since it contains a lot of profanity and scenes that may not be appropriate to those below the age of 18.
