Review of Disasters To Dreams

Disasters come into one’s life bringing about disappointments, despair and devastatingly gripping feelings of failure. Chris Patrick was suffocated by the overwhelming clench of failure as disasters continued to pile up on him. Disasters to Dreams is a personal account of how Chris elevated himself through an avalanche of disasters upon his life, it shows you how to flip your life from failure to fruitful. This book emphasizes how the stepladder to success sits on the rungs of adversity. An enlightening life journey, this direct approach motivation includes personal reflection pages with building blocks that will assist in recreating losses into the successes you desire. You will unpack strategies that can be applied to cultivate victories in your life. Personal accounts from established entrepreneurs, sharing practical ways to transform tribulations to triumphs. The road to destiny is best voyaged alongside your destiny helpers, access the keys to unlock the strongholds that prevent you from seeking help from others. The book is a self-help offering presented in a straight to the point, no nonsense writing style. The author’s personal and genuine accounts are relatable making this an easy read. It shows you how to be intentional about your life, inspiring one to rise from the traps of life’s setbacks. The techniques shared are approaches and mindsets one can instantly use to see positive life changes. Unlike the typical self-improvement books of today, there is no deception of instantaneous turnaround - the guidelines provided here do not sugarcoat any facts that the reader will have to be willing to put in the work to push past defeat.
The profanity within the book might be slightly off putting to sensitive readers, besides this, there are no other pertinent negative aspects that would reduce the quality in which this book is written.
I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. Although the book was skillfully written and personal, the author does use a bit of profane analogies that will be off putting to the more sensitive or scholarly readers. The accounts from other entrepreneurs could have been improved by including a variety of accounts from different stages of the success journey. The author could have interviewed people at different levels from entry level to rising stars, right through to established entrepreneurs. This would have added more insightful lessons to render the book a seamless transition manual to success, from whichever level the reader is currently at.
Disasters to Dreams is recommended for anyone who is currently stuck in the setbacks of life and is looking to set themselves free. The writing style of this book caters to the individual who feels cornered and is ready to apply some life changing techniques to rise from the ashes. If you have been looking for a mentor through life or a step-to-step guide to succeed, then this book is highly recommended for you.
