Review of How To Be Successful
How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader by M. Curtis McCoy is a masterpiece. It works as a ray of hope in an era of darkness. It has the potential to transform the lives of millions. It is not a constant flow of words, but a moving picture in front of you in which you can imagine yourself too. It delineates the psychology of people when they fall down and then it serves like a magic to raise the falling ones. I would consider this book a humanly motivational speaker and a guide full of optimism, realism, and relatable elements. While reading the book, I felt as if I was talking to a living person who is my MENTOR.
I divide the book in two portions: Golden Principles and Success Stories. I like the chapters on "golden principles to success" as these are not only the way to inhale the "success stories" (given in the interviews) but also these provide you with the initial steps to take on the road to success. There are eight interviews by different successful people in the book. Their journey tells you that success absolutely takes a lot, it is never an overnight game changer.
There is nothing in the book which caused me to dislike it. Everything is perfectly adorn with optimism. And this is what our generation of depression and broken hearts needs. It leads you to the mirror of recognising self-worth. How to avoid distractions and make your time productive is one of the motives of the book. Another merit of this book is that you can read any chapter at any time regardless of its given sequence of chapters. All the chapters serve as articles which you can read according to your own choice. But don't miss any article of it as every article is worth reading and carries a unique set of information in it.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The diverse episodes in the book are written in a fine manner. The language is much simpler and easier than anybody can think of. The book is professionally edited and provides you great relief with its common vocabulary.
This book allows the readers to finish it in two or three sittings. But I will recommend all the readers to give this amazing book a calculated time of at least fifteen days, so that you can absorb the true essence of the book. Success does not know age. It can occur to a kid of seven and to a seventy years old man simultaneously. So, read it with an honest intention of getting positivity out of this book. And practice the given golden principles.
