Get ready to be taken on a suspenseful journey with 9 passengers on board Flight 2222. The main characters - Frank Mason and Helen Hampton, board flight 2222 to Argentina. To make Helen feel at ease, Frank starts a game where they choose 7 people and try to guess their names, occupations, ages and back ground. While on route the flight crashes and the only survivors left are Frank, Helen and the 7 people they chose for their game. The passengers live through a nightmare as they are faced with starvation, sharks and pirates. This story revolves around their gruesome and terrifying ordeal while trying to survive.

The Mystery of Flight 2222 was an absolutely riveting, suspenseful and nail biting book. I couldn’t set it down except when real life “intruded”. The book starts with a nice build up and then just comes alive. It leaves the reader with an eerie sense of foreboding as it progresses and the plots unfold. Thomas Neviaser uses good descriptive writing which makes it an easy and very interesting read as one chapter flows into the next chapter. The book was so skillfully written that the reader really starts wondering if these passengers’ fate is that of doom. You almost feel the hopelessness of these poor souls.
It is quite a tragic and emotional journey for the reader as these characters personalities and human nature gets revealed in turn, leaving the reader to ask some important questions about his or her own life. There is definitely a big lesson to learn from this book as it reaches its conclusion.

The only negative aspect of this book is that it sort of ends abruptly. You get so engrossed in the lives of the characters that the ending leaves you with more questions than answers. There is definitely a greater force in working, behind this story and it would have been nice if this was expanded on.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. This book actually borders on 4 stars as it was such a great read. I haven’t read a book this suspenseful in a long while.

I would recommend this book to all readers of every walk of life except children as there as some very explicit and gruesome scenes while the survivors are on the raft. There are no sex scenes in this book but it does contain some swear words.
