Review of The Mystery Of Flight 2222
The Mystery Of Flight 2222 starts with the introduction of a happily married couple Kate and Frank. Frank is a stock analyst who often has to travel because of his job which his pregnant wife Kate dislikes. Kate lovingly sees off his husband with a lavish dinner at the airport. Frank reaches the airport and reaches Gate 47 to board the plane to Argentina. The book then introduces us to Helen and Ricardo, another couple. Helen and Ricardo had some issues in their marriage. Helen was going to Argentina to pay her respects at a funeral. Helen takes a cab and reaches the airport. Helen reaches Gate 47. Helen and Frank were now waiting to board the same flight 2222. The flight got delayed for an hour and it helped calm the anxious Frank. Frank was a klutz and always forgot one thing or another. Flight safety checks were done and the passengers were allowed to board the flight. Helen and Frank were surprisingly seated right next to each other. Helen was a little scared about the field and had nervous reactions to every little turbulence. Frank tried to console her and take her mind off. They start a game in which they pick 7 people and try to guess their characteristics. Helen falls asleep and Frank as usual doesn't fall asleep. Frank always had issues sleeping on the plane. Their game ends as they finish guessing about the 7 people they chose. Not knowing the right answers as all they had were guesses. The plane experiences some turbulence and noises that make the pilot and the hostess nervous. They check the wings and panels and all seems fine. And suddenly the left wing blows and the plane starts to go down. The fear and screams were increasing among the passengers. The plane crashes into the water and everything goes black. With much difficulty and injuries, 9 people manage to come out of the drowning aeroplane. And to Helen and Frank’s surprise, they were the 7 people out of their game. They manage to find a raft and all the people load into it, only to float endlessly in a wide, deep ocean. They kept floating with minimum food and water with them. Rain showers and they finally get some relief as to the water situation. Many days and nights had now passed yet there were no signs of rescue. The wind was their greatest tormentor sending them off-course and hurling them around like rag dolls. Frank was haunted by thoughts of Kate worrying and crying about him. As the days increase, the food availability decreases. The food became so scarce and the hunger so high that they all had to resort to inhuman ways. Further, they come across a dangerous shark attack. After more days pass they come across a ship of pirates. They slowly understood that they were their prisoners and now they had to plan their escape. This novel ends with such twists and surprises that no reader could have guessed.
This novel has been very well edited. Every character has been described in wide detail and every character has an interesting personality.
I find no faults in this novel. The twists and turns created by Thomas Neviaser are simply great.
I rate this novel 4 out of 4 stars. This novel is a combo of adventure, romance, thrill and excitement.
The Mystery Of Flight 2222 is a mystery that always has something new adding to it. It never gets uneventful.
