Money makes the world go round. There are few things more rewarding than financial freedom. In a world where everyone is chasing after money from 9 to 5, there is hardly any time to do anything for yourself. Coupled with family commitments and house chores, most people get caught up in a routine of mundane activities that they repeat on a daily basis, becoming a slave to their employer. But what if there was a way to keep your day job and progressively work on getting out of the rat race? This is exactly what H. J. Chammas, The Employee Millionaire - Personal Workbook brings to the table. A concise step-by-step manual of breaking the rat race cycle and achieving financial freedom through investing in real estate.

Across the globe, there has been so much uncertainty over job security the past few years especially with more people being forced to work remotely. It has been a wake-up call for many to increase their income outside of the traditional salaried employment if they intend to stay ahead of inflation rates. H. J. Chammas's workbook gives life to the term 'side hustle'. It is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It requires effort and taking calculated risks and he lays it out in great detail. There are so many books about achieving financial freedom but I greatly appreciated the focus on real estate. Every area is addressed from getting your personal finances straight to property decision-making. Not only does he guide the reader through finding the best investment properties and the different ways to finance these purchases, but he also demonstrates how to make offers and negotiate deals. I particularly liked the topic on how to manage your rental properties, eventually creating a cycle of wealth generation. There are various worksheets included throughout the book to plot and execute your plans in an orderly manner, making this particular journey to financial freedom even more exciting at the same time staying organized. Documentation is the key to tracking progress.

There is not anything I disliked about this book and I did not find any errors whilst reading it, which leads me to believe it was professionally edited. It is for that reason that I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. It is a book to keep handy to use for reference when venturing into the real estate business.

This book would appeal to adults looking to generate passive income. It would not appeal to people looking to make money quickly as it involves hard work and patience.
