M. Curtis McCoy has yet again inspired us with his book, “How to be successful.” His exceptional way of thinking amid challenges is put into words and gives us more light on how can we become the person he is.

Curtis experienced his bump in the road when he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor but was able to recover and get back on his feet. He also survived Type-1 Diabetes, grand mal seizures, multiple comas, and recurring memory issues. Despite these, Curtis continues to inspire thousands to reach their ultimate self through mentoring, speaking, and his books.

This book encompasses interviews of known people with their successful views in life and the way they see things. Motivating oneself to get up and create your opportunity and be prepared for it. The book also cites bible verses and put into relation with the chapters on different situations.

As a person who likes to read inspiring stories, it interests me to grab the book as the title tells what I want to be. The book has a unique way of telling things, to note, I've read most of the motivational books that have vulgar words that don't help me with getting the point of the book. It was a new experienced that in this book there is no profanity or as if mockery of where I am right now. It was pleasant to read and the best part I like is where friends were involved. What friends to keep and who must you let go of? Are your friends keeping you away from your goals? Do they push you to your limit? This book will help you to decide on that matter.

The accounts of Connie Wyatt( CMO of best Cellular), Paul B. Watson (Downtown Vineyard Church), Eric Payne (Venture Advocates), Caujuan Mayo (Uprock Publications), Caujuan Mayo (Uprock Publications), and Jeff McGregor (Business Developer, Music) brought to light their experiences, views and even their surrounding as of successful individuals. Comparing their answers to each question helped to evaluate what does success means to a person.

I will grade this one 4 out of 4, though I encountered some sentences that are hard to understand, the value of the book overpowered it. I've learned a lot from his book. I recommend this to that 18-year-old who is just learning how to be an adult, to those in their prime years that struggle with their definition of success, and to those who merely want to be inspired.
