A world-class experience of insights and training on customer service is presented by Mitche Graf in his 9th book, Customer Service is DEAD: Delivering 6-Star Service In A 1-Star World .

Makes serving feel like a walk in the park, the book is full of tips and insight of Graf with their vast experience in running businesses and being in the service industry. In Customer Service is DEAD: Delivering 6-Star Service In A 1-Star World through sharing his experiences and knowledge, the book tackles the various factors of customer service from the owner to the customer, up until the employee. Also, it provides a step-by-step guide on providing a greater customer experience that will link back to the performance of the business.

The book is interesting and straight to the point in its explanation and great for those that are interested in Hospitality and Business Management. It is also great for those that are in the Service Industry or are planning to work in the industry. Another is that it could also be applicable in presenting oneself to others and their work. By sharing his personal experience and insights, Graf illustrates the topic at hand on an easier level that could easily be understood by all. What more is that the book mixes point-of-view but mainly utilizes the second point-of-view --- great for the engagement of readers that it is all about them and not the author.

While, personally, the book starts off a bit slow in terms of introducing the topic with multiple leads of examples and visualizations of experiences and situations, the book had gradually picked up its pace in terms of discussions. Another is that the formatting of the book is superb as it used the font style logically by making important words and phrases in bolds. Also, it utilizes bullets for a cleaner presentation of ideas and tips for its readers. Moreover, I, especially liked the message of Graf, in non-verbatim, that while the topics are presented in chronological order, we, as readers, are not required to follow through and can skip towards a topic of special interest towards us.

All in all Customer Service is DEAD: Delivering 6-Star Service In A 1-Star World by Mitche Graf deserves 4 out of 4 for its simple yet packed with impactful insights and knowledge about customer service and the service industry as a whole. A plus for the well-editing of the book.
