Review of Exploring Wine Regions – Bordeaux France
Are you a wine enthusiast? Exploring Wine Regions-Bordeaux France by Michael C. Higgins takes you on a trip through the rich and interesting history of wine, cuisine, castles, and joie de vivre, the French way of life! This book is both a travel guide and a source of information. It beautifully depicts the wine regions of France. It discusses wine making, as well as the greatest locations to visit in Bordeaux, and readers will learn everything they need to know about Bordeaux wines in this lovely book. This book has a lot of images, which I think makes the reading experience even better, and the author uses them to bring the tale to life.
It's simply the way the French make wine: complex, intricate, involved, and tricky. On this informative tour through the top wine districts of Médoc, Graves, Saint-Émilion, Pomerol, and Fronsac, you'll discover amusing anecdotes. You'll even visit a cooperage in Cognac as a side excursion. This book contains all of the necessary information for a trip to the Bordeaux Wine Regions, including names, locations, phone numbers, websites, email addresses, languages spoken, and information on vineyards, hotels, restaurants, and gourmet options. There are also a variety of outdoor activities. The book includes twenty-nine maps of the areas, as well as interviews with winemakers, agronomists, oenologists, sommeliers, chefs, and others.
This book is aimed for both novice and expert wine enthusiasts. Even if you don't drink wine, this book will provide you with a range of unforgettable gastronomic, romantic, cultural, and outdoor excursions. It begins with the fundamentals of winemaking and what makes Bordeaux unique in the wine industry.
This is a book specially for people who like Bordeaux and its wines, for those who adore France and the French way of life, and for those who are planning a trip to Bordeaux. The author's enthusiasm for his subject is palpable, and he spared no grape in his search for the best of Bordeaux. It goes through the wine-growing regions of Bordeaux in great depth. But that's not all; Michael Higgins goes into depth on what to see and do in wine-growing regions, why he picked certain provinces for us to visit, and what makes their wine tastings so unique! After reading this book, one will have a better understanding of the author's extensive research. Michael C. Higgins rightly points that “Life is too short to drink bad wine.”
Exploring Wine Regions-Bordeaux France has no flaws. Accordingly, I give this book 4 out of 4 stars. As I mentioned, this book is for everyone, so you don't have to be a wine expert to appreciate it. However, it will provide you with an expert's perspective on wine and highlight Bordeaux's exceptional distinctiveness. The author's excellent writing style and extensive knowledge of the area aid in organizing the trip according to our tastes. It also explains how the wine industry got started. Personal experiences, encounters, geographical maps, ideas, and honest evaluations from the author entice you to visit this incredible area. Everyone should read this book, especially those interested in travel and wine.
