We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is the first book in the Voulhire series. The novel contains science fiction, suspense, and adventures that lead us to the wondrous fantasy world of Voulhire.

The book initially talks about the story of Galen, a boy from the Lands of Princes who tells the story of an evil ruler who ruled all over the world, was known as the Emperor of Lullabies. The emperor had four sons suspected of plotting against him, so the emperor made a clever idea, which is to disperse the four sons and give each of them a distant land. He also gave each of his sons a small army to defend themselves against the invaders, but the emperor knew that each of them would eventually compete to take possession of the empire alone.

Within two years his sons are drawn into a civil war, so the boy Galen escapes from the Land of Princes by boat towards a land called Voulhire, the land of nobles, mages, rebels, and peace to get the inheritance of his uncle who died, where he got two friends and tried to adapt to his new environment, on the other hand, When King of Voulhire needed someone to fix Hillport and make it prosper, he appointed Lord Eldous Alderman, a former magistrate of Solhere, to rule the city of Hilbert. Both find themselves facing the magical world and will face many of the events that the novel reveals in its chapters.

The novel introduced a very large cast of characters that I loved such as the young Galen and Lord Eldus, in addition to that I admired the adventures and discovery of many wonderful places in Voulhire through the eyes of Galen, but more remains to be discovered as strange events continue to occur with the other parts of the novel.

What I liked the most about the book is the writing style and the appropriate division of the book into sections, where the reader can move between these sections and read them effortlessly. The author creates a fantasy world that makes you plunge into it trying to discover what will happen next to the successive events.
The book appears to be professionally edited and I didn't notice major errors in it, and I would be happy to rate the book 4 out of 4 stars.
I would be glad to recommend it to fans of the science fiction genre.
