[rwc=id473053-125]3 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]The Stolen Heir, by Tayma Tameem, is the first book of the “Stolen Heir” series. It is a fantasy story that revolves around two major kingdoms, Paleria and Thumeria of the Krasoria continent. Their magical abilities give them the right to become the king and rule their respective kingdoms. A treaty was formed between the two kingdoms to wed their children with each other to maintain peace. A war breaks the peace between them when the next rightful heir gets stolen. The couples Jumen, the prince of Thumeria, and princess Auralia of Paleria declare war with each other accusing the other of stealing their son, with extra magical abilities.

The boy Erik grows unaware of his real roots and the reason behind the Great War. His foster parents die due to the aftermath of the war, and he swore vengeance upon both the kingdoms. According to the prophecy, Erik is the only person who could unite both the kingdoms and bring peace back. Will the prophecy be proven right or wrong?

The author Tayma portrays a well-established kingdom with magical abilities. Her descriptive style is extraordinary. You can see the characters right before your eyes. Even though I am not a fan of magic, I felt myself slipping deeper into the story. The story is filled with twists and turns. Even though the villain is revealed, Tayma continuously makes you guess what happens next.

The only flaw I saw in this book is it’s a bit slow-paced story and I felt the story being dragged in the beginning. The story ends with suspense and makes you yearn to read the next one. Every character in this book has its own role and Tayma's description of the character has done justice to each of them.

The story is professionally edited and no sensual scenes or profanities to point out. Hence, this story deserves a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading fantasy, but those who are sensitive would like to avoid this book since it contains a lot of bloodsheds.
