Create The Life You Want by Raymond Gerson is a guide that will assist readers in plotting a meaningful course through life. The author begins by explaining the goal he had in mind while writing the book. From here, we are taken on a journey to learn more about what makes a life feel fulfilled.

Like many professionals, Gerson started from humble beginnings. He started his first business in a studio apartment with the bare minimum. For months on end, the author worked tirelessly to get his business off the ground.

He made it to the point where many would have called it quits. Rather than quit, he kept going till his persistence paid off. Within the course of a year, Gerson went from earning nothing to earning six-figures.

This zero to hero story is shared as an example of how far one can go when they keep pushing forward. I really like how the author shares his struggles along with how he overcame each one to become the person he is today. He thrives on helping others become a better version of themselves.

There was nothing to dislike as the author took their time to explain how they got from one point in their life to another. All of his experience is broken up into four manageable parts. These parts discuss career pathways, purposeful living, a guide to relationships and how we can contribute to communities by sharing our knowledge with others.

Gerson tells you what you need to hear in a straightforward manner. He gets the reader’s attention by discussing his flaws along with missteps that were made during his lifetime. Valuable lessons were learned and key takeaways were shared.

Further, the author presents some review questions to the reader. The purpose of these questions is to gauge our understanding of the current discussion. Additionally, the responses demonstrate a willingness to navigate around self-imposed barriers.

Create The Life You Want by Raymond Gerson gets a 4 out of 4 because the author approaches important life issues with easy to understand solutions. This book is recommended to those who enjoy self-help books that are easy to read. However, it is not recommended to those looking for solutions that are analyzed meticulously.

The book is professionally edited and there are no errors present. Gerson’s book provides useful information that many readers will appreciate. In closing, it’s well worth the read.
