We are Voulhire: The Flesh of the Mind is the sixth book in the series; We are Voulhire. I have heard of many war stories and come to dread the experience altogether. The thought of a full-blown war is something every person, I believe, wants to remove from their mind and sometimes even reality. Yet, in Voulhire, the threat of war is imminent. The Emperor of Lullabies has proclaimed his soon take over of the kingdom.

After the proclamation of the Emperor of Lullabies, the citizens of Voulhire prepare for war. None of the citizens are willing to submit to the threat of the Emperor of lullabies rule. Book six of the series; We are Voulhire, is a story of a kingdom under threat of an invasion. The characters of the story, who are all the main characters of the series, try to discover ways to remove the looming threat that the Emperor of Lullabies brings to the freedom of Voulhire. Will the Emperor succeed? Or will the citizens of Voulhire eradicate the threat he poses?

It is time to answer my favorite part of the review. What did I like most about book six? That is an easy answer to give. I love the intelligence and patriotism the author, Matthew Tysz, gave the characters of the book. I loved that part of the rhythm of the story. Why? Because it is hard to see people, in the present day, have genuine patriotism for their country or their motherland. Seeing the author convey such characteristics into the characters gave me joy. I am not a fan of the finale. I have come to expect a lot from the author. It is sad to say that I was disappointed in the ending.

The editing of the series We are Voulhire is another thing that I have come to expect exude perfection. I was not let down. It was a well-structured book with impeccable grammar. The author gave me a captivating story until the end. As a result, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend anyone to read this book. By anyone, I mean just that. Though I think of an age limit when I’m recommending books, this book is suitable for all ages. I believe the story was good enough to be read by itself without reading the books before it. So, I adhere to any fiction or other-fiction lover to go pick this great book up.
