We are Voulhire: Someone Else’s End by Matthew Tysz is another outstanding journey. The We are Voulhire saga continues for Galen, Demetrius and Rowan. Demetrius is determined to make contact with the Elodi to find a way to save Virko, but the town of Yamon Soul is temporarily closed by the new Elodi. They decide to try to appeal directly to the King for assistance and make the journey to Soulhire from Magnum Caelum.

Rowan, who likes keeping his personal life private, must reveal things about his past that he would rather have kept to himself. We also learn more about Galen’s early life in The Lands of the Princes. Meanwhile the King is having issues of his own. One of his subjects has petitioned for Voulhire to accept mass refugees from The Lands of the Princes. This could cause devastating repercussions from The Emperor of Lullabies. An ongoing trial is underway when the trio arrive in Soulhire. The Elodi is also on his way to Soulhire.

I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I found 13 instances of profanity throughout the book. There was one line at the bottom of a page where the editor missed the spacing issue. Otherwise the book was flawless, very expertly edited.

I still recommend this series to anyone interested in the Fantasy genre. Matthew Tysz is a very fluid writer. He keeps things simple. The story never gets confusing. The characters are constantly evolving and you learn new things about each of them in every book. There is a map you can refer to during their travels and he has added a Reference Guide for words and phrases that are unique to this series. The map is high level and it is nice to be able to see the whole continent. The author is very good at keeping your interest through out the entire book. It never gets dull or boring.

Still the only thing that bugs me about his books is they are to short. He could put them all into one 2000 page book and I believe I would sit and read it to completion. Oh but then who would go to work or do the cooking and when would I eat. Maybe it is a good thing there is space between the books. I would never get anything else done. Seriously though I love his writing and cannot wait to continue with this series.
