Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren is a story revolving around redemption. Crighton, a soul catcher, collect souls of murderers and disappear with them into the darkness never to be seen again. He's sent on a mission to catch the soul of an angel but he fails when scientists capture them for experiment at the Sovereign center; this reveals the special bond between the two who later realize that they are soul mates and one cannot survive without the other. Crighton is forced to leave hell and Ariel on the other hand is thrown out of heaven.

This story really fit the C/T/M/H genre because it feature scenes of crime, murder and history. The setting of this story is amazing especially the use of biblical characters such as angels and demons that are believed to exist but have never been seen. The author has used the first person narrative to bring out her imagination of the paranormal beings and I must admit that it is amazing. I could not tell who the main character was between Poe and Crighton because the two were mentioned throughout the book and were both remarkable.

The use of descriptive words made me feel present in the story as I was able to picture the action and events happening, also the less subtle words made the story easy to understand. The description of erotic content was not that much to an extent of provoking the reader, however, the use of profane words was excess though this did not interfere with my reading.

What I really liked most was how Crighton defended human rights by punishing the wrong doers. I felt like bad people outweigh the good ones so it was nice to have someone defending the good people by eliminating bad ones.

However, I did not like how the story belittles angels as beings that demons can just have whenever they feel like, for instance, where the devil has devoured several souls of angels to increase his strength and power.

I rate Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren 4 out of 4 stars because the story was easy to follow and the book seemed to have been professionally edited despite the typographical errors which did not interfere with my reading. I've enjoyed reading this book and I recommend it to readers who like action, crime and mystery books with paranormal characters. This book is similar to 'Married to the Devil's son', if you've read it and liked the characters and events in it then you'll definitely like this one.
