Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren is an epic story that began with Benjamin Poe telling us his side of the story of how a manipulative demon made him murder his only son, landed him in prison, and drew him apart from his family. Feeling the guilt and shame of it all, he saw that there was no hope left for him, so he decided to do a terrible act that will leave you in shock. This was only one of the many souls a demon, Crighton, jeopardized to earn Lucifer’s rewards. But Lucifer always collects a hundred for everything he gives, and Crighton will still pay the price.

How is it possible that a demon's soulmate is an angel? Crighton was recognized by Lucifer as the best soul catcher in hell, which was why he was sent to bring the souls of two Angels to hell. During his hunt, he met Ariel, a guardian angel in training. Unfortunately, they were captured by the Sovereign Sector, an organization of scientists gifted with superior intelligence. During that time, they began to feel the strong bond they shared. Amidst all the many battles they try to overcome lie many secrets and dark pasts waiting to be unveiled. The only way for them and their forbidden love to conquer is to defeat the Devil. But surely, the Master of Hell will not go down without a fight, will he?

One of the reasons why I picked this book was because I love to read about supernatural beings. The author created an imaginary world in my head, one where Angels and demons interact with one another. It was no surprise that I fell in love with Crighton's character. Despite him being the anti-hero, he was a likable demon; maybe it was because he was different from the rest. I find it quite fascinating how the author was able to connect me with the characters in the book, making me feel most of the different emotions displayed. The other characters were all well developed too, and I enjoyed knowing all of them.

I didn’t find anything much to dislike about this book. I have read so many books about Angels and demons, but this one is unique, and I would like to commend the author on her creativity. This book was written in the third-person narrative. It contains so many themes like pain, mystery, suspense, crime, and even love. I did not notice any error while reading this book, so my overall enjoyment of the book was maintained. It seems this book was professionally edited, and it deserves a rating of 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to just adults, especially those who love fantasy and are open-minded, as this book talks strongly about supernatural beings. So if you are sensitive or terrified of reading about demons, I advise you to neglect this book. It contains some minor profanity and erotic scenes that will leave your imagination roaming wild.

Very insightful review! You did a good job of pointing out all there is to know before diving into this book.
