Wellness Toolbox by Don Roberts is a non-fictional guide discussing myths and facts on fitness and nutrition. This educational book is both inspiring and easy to read. It will help readers to make better-informed decisions about their health.

Don Roberts is a fitness and nutrition specialist and gym owner and has been working in the health and fitness industry since 1991. The book is written in four sections: fitness, testimonials, nutrition, and additional health-related information. The author promotes being active, eating healthfully, and getting sufficient rest as the three pillars of health. A detailed reference section supports the views presented in this book. Interesting anecdotes from the author’s life (aptly named Don Stories) and cartoons are scattered throughout the book, making it an entertaining read.

The book has been exceptionally well-edited. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and loved the little Don Stories the most, which made the book more personalized and not just a textbook on exercise and nutrition. It has a complete wellness focus and doesn’t just highlight fitness or single health-related issues. It is commendable that Don Roberts treats his clients holistically (body, mind, and spirit) and does not emphasize a single area of health to the detriment of others. More people in the health and wellness arena should follow his example. The only negative comment that I can give is that the fitness and exercise section is more related to exercise equipment and training found only in a gym. This is not surprising as Don Roberts is a gym owner. He has, however, also included routines that can be completed at home or while traveling to accommodate readers who are do-it-at-home enthusiasts.

I would recommend this book to any reader who is interested in achieving a healthy lifestyle. The book is suitable for all readers, young and old, fit and sedentary, well or diseased. There is no group of readers that I would not recommend read this book. The book contains no profanity, erotic scenes, or religious stigmas and is well-suited to all readers.

I rate the book a well-deserved four out of four stars. It is informative, research-based, and written in a simple conversational tone that invokes confidence in the reader. Everyone who reads the Wellness Toolbox will learn more about health, wellness, fitness, and nutrition. The exercises and health tips are excellent and easy to implement. This book will be of benefit to anyone to improve their overall wellbeing by making better daily lifestyle choices.
