Soulhire was a city that Galen, based on the perspective he had received from Virko, imagined was the biggest and the most beautiful cities he had ever known in Voulhire. His imagination was true. Soulhire was indeed a beautiful city and Galen couldn't wait to pay a visit. After struggling to convince his two friends, Galen and his friends started their journey to Soulhire.

After a long journey that took them three days with attacks on the way, Galen and his friends arrived in Soulhire. One of Galen's friends, Rowan, was from Soulhire and had left the city to stay with his friends in the countryside. On arrival at Rowan's place, Galen wondered how his friend could abandon such a beautiful home and city for the countryside. The reason Galen traveled to Soulhire was to seek an audience from the king. However, it was almost impossible to get the king's audience and so Galen and his friends had to attend an ongoing trial. Things took a turn of events during the trial when the king was attacked by a nightynight, the most terrifying creature in Voulhire. The entire city was under attack and people had to run for their own lives. Later, it was evident to Galen that Voulhire's capitol was not the place that he thought it was. The city had enemies who were far much stronger and filled with greed for power.

I was thrilled by the turn of events after the attack of Soulhire. I must confess that I was bored at beginning but the turn of events at this point captured my attention and I kept on turning the pages nonstop to the end. I also admired the love and friendship between Galen, Rowan and Demetrius.

The book has been well edited and there are only very few minor errors that are not easily noticeable. The book however uses some vulgar words though not in an offensive manner. I would recommend the book to individuals above the age of 18 years and also to lovers of historical fantasy and science fiction.

I disliked the start of the book as the events were not eye catching, court hearings. However, this ended after turning some pages and from thereon I couldn't help but keep my eyes glued on the content due to the exciting turn of events. For this reason, I am happy to rate We are the Voulhire: Someone Else's End by Matthew Tysz three out of four stars .
