Review by Nashwa_m -- The Margin of Error
The margin of error is a term used by the politicians to predict the elections. This book The Margin Of Error. written Beverly Grasley tries to predict outcome of the the character President Andrew Brisbane.
The main character of this plot is Kathleen Harrington. She is a retired military officer. She is appointed as the first women Secretary of Defence by the president. She is encountered by an problem when the president tries to release the codes from the “football,” the satchel that is always with him, to launch nuclear weapons against North Korea just because the leader insulted him. She is forced to put the president under house arrest with the help of the White house members and Joint Chiefs. She also struggles to keep this secret from her mother and reporter boyfriend. She tries to predict the future but faces with lots of unexpected crisis. Will she be able to take the football from the president without getting arrested.
The book has a quite interesting plot that is inspiring for women. It speaks about a strong women who believes in herself and fiercely tries to protect her country. It has such a good lesson for all women. The character goes to extreme ways to protect her country from danger such as putting the president in house arrest even if it may lead to her arrest. She sacrifice herself for country. The book also shows about the the support and strength they give to women leader. It had been a quiet inspiring story for me. Such strong women personalities are are rarely seen.
One of the greatest disadvantages of this book is the the amount of grammar punctuation and editing mistakes in the book. It is so much in number that it it cannot be ignored while reading. The book had they had such a great story but the mistakes had a great negative impact on the reading flow. It affected me greatly throughout the book.
This book evokes a strong sense of respect towards military. I myself is so ignorant of military that this book gave me whole new perspective towards them. The military of of a country is very strong and so respectable. The book shows responsibility and love they have towards their country. It shows the strength and the problems they face during the implementation of a law
All in all i rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. The grammatical and punctuation mistakes were distracting and could not be ignored. The novel was interesting and enjoyable other than the errors. It did not have any sexual scenes but did have some profane words. So i recommend it to readers above eighteen.
