An extremely delightful read, Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi, is a children's book that describes the life of a super talented cat detective, Inca. Inca is the head of a detective agency which includes other dogs and cats in the team. It is the seventh book in the Diary of a Snoopy Cat series, but, can be read as an independent book.

This book of the series describes the adventures of Inca and her friends as they travel to Sri Lanka for a small vacation. But, just as they start enjoying the trip, the group discovers that a valuable ancient sword has been stolen from a local museum of the country. They also come to know that Solo, a world-famous detective, has been appointed for the case. But, Inca, who never misses any opportunity to showcase her skills, volunteers to take up the case and strives to solve it before Solo. Will she be able to prove herself?

The book was a great mixture of fun and teachings. It had a very simple yet an effective plot. The thing I liked the most was the perfectly timed humor incorporated in the book which kept me entertained throughout the read. Emphasizing on the fact that it's a children's book, the author has also included beautiful illustrations in between the pages. Also, the writing style of the author was quite descriptive. He used imagery to draw out the scenes written in the narration in the reader's mind.

The book was exceptionally flawless. It seemed professionally edited as I found no grammatical errors or spelling mistakes in it. The only issue that bothered me was the length of the book. It was too long for a children's book. There was a lot of content that was not directly related to the story. Had that been omitted, this book would have been the best book so far.

Considering all the points, I would like to rate Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat, four out of four stars. It was a very interesting read. I would recommend this book to children who are between five to twelve years of age.
