The Secrets to Living A Fantastic Life is written by Dr Allen Lycka and Harriet Tinka (with the foreword authored by the world-renown Jack Canfield, author of #1 New York Times Bestseller Chicken Soup for the Soul) both of whom confronted horrific circumstances in their life. Although their lives faced tremendous pain and suffering, they chose to forge onward, to live a full and happy life. This book gives you insights into how you, too, can use these secrets, or "Pearls" as they label them, to live a fantastic life.

While this book is brimming with many marvelous quotes and insights, 13 "Pearls" of wisdom, and an abundance of valuable information, I was not thrilled with the two-way, conversational chatter throughout the book. That format would be put to better use in a video. The attempts at humor proved to be dry and unnecessary-maybe even alittle awkward.

I found the Foreward and the Introduction to be easier to read in this book than the conversation dialogue spattered throughout this writing. Jack Canfield adds a lot with his words, and the author’s stories are compelling and gripping.

Nonetheless, the information is pertinent. I found the story of The Shoe Box (author unknown) in this book to be one of the highlights of the entire book. It brought tears to my eyes.

The events that led the authors to write this book are both moving and horrendous but well told. It speaks of the resilience of the human spirit, even through the most difficult of times.

There were no typos, so this is exceptionally well-edited writing. There is no profanity, and no sexual content, so it is suitable for all audiences, from teens to adults. This book not a bad read for those who are looking for encouragement, purpose, and enrichment in their lives, if you can overlook the mundane conversation format that takes place among the stories and quotes in this book. The stories and quotes are sited at the end of the book in an uncomplicated manner to reference for later use.

There are 13 “Golden Pearls” listed in this book: Love, Inspiration, Victory, Vulnerability, Intention (or purpose) Forgiveness, Attitude, Thankfulness, Tenacity, Laughter, Enthusiasm, Empowerment, and Fear. They are all of outstanding importance and will aid the reader in striving for a better life.

You, the reader, will also gain insight on how one person, saying just one thing can impact your life more than you could ever imagine. The Secret to Living a Fantastic Life will show you how you can use such moments to change your life.

Although much of this book was well written and the information is very worthful, I feel the conversation format took away some of the value of this book. Therefore, I am rating this book 3 out of 4 stars.

I agree with you on the point that conversation wasn't very worthy. I have recently read the book and is quite an inspiration.
