The Date Farm is a fast-pace, action, political, historical and suspense thrill novel inspired by today's world events. Author Jack Winnick is a creative writer who knows how to capture his readers and engage them through out the book with events which are quite too realistic. Although it is a fiction novel, the writer has done a good job in making the scenes more relevant to what is happening in the world.

Lara Mossad and her husband Uri Levin are called from their vacation in Ohio to investigate the attack in Beverly hills shopping mall in California. This attack is orchestrated by Islamic extemists, ten in total, who storm in and open automatic fire and shoot at the young people in a party. They also blow grenades and finally commit suicide. The death toll rises at a fast rate and hence the urgency of Lara and Uri's presence.

The two detectives are required to go deep undercover in order to bring down the terrorists. The way every event unfolded was so exciting and by the end of the book, you cannot help but join in with the joy of the final resolution.

I like the book's description of the main characters, Lara Mossad and Uri Levin who are newly married. They sound more realistic and don't seem to use much effort to prove their work. They have defended the U. S more than once and their loyalty to each other and to their country could be felt coming to life through all they did to solve the shopping mall attack mystery.

In conclusion I generally enjoyed the book. I can't think of any part that I did not like. On that note, I am happy to rate this book 4 out of 4. It is well edited and I commend the editor for a job well and keenly done. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves suspense and mystery solving. It is a good book to get a few tips on how to solve cases or deal with a terrorist attack from a detective's point of view. However, people who may find violent scenes disturbing should reconsider reading the book as it contains quite graphic descriptions of the scenes.
