Successful, beautiful, talented and rich, are only a couple of words to describe Candler Benedict. Chandler is one of four daughters of the renowned social light, Billie Benedict. Billie, who has been divorced four times, is somewhat eccentric and a bit of a loose cannon. This meant Chandler and her three sisters, Andi, Bryce, and Destry, were forced to grow up almost parentless. Billie wasn’t the best mother in the world, but the four Benedict sisters didn’t mind, as long as they had each other. There was also Mrs. Finch, the housekeeper, to keep them on the right track.

One thing Chandler Benedict knew nothing about, was true love. She preferred it that way. Once men found out she was a Benedict, the only thing they were after was her money. This didn’t bother her too much, she had her organization, which she founded and managed, that kept her busy. And after her last break-up, Chandler officially gave up on finding “the one”. That is until she met Adam.

In One Way or Another by Mary J. Williams, we follow the story of how Chandler explores a whole new world of love and together with her three sisters, tries to manage their mothers' love life, and above all, save their family fortune.

One Way or Another by Mary J. Williams is the first book in a quartet series about the Benedict sisters. The story is very intriguing and keeps you wanting more. Exploring different avenues of love, lust, and greed, you will find it difficult to put the book down. What I liked most about the book other than the storyline, was the way Williams is able to truly capture a moment with her words, making it feel like you are there living inside the book. The book is very well edited, with no spelling or grammar errors. There are a couple of strong words and heart-racing scenes, but it never made me feel uncomfortable while reading.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars since I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a romantic at heart but like a little action and mystery in their love story.
