Idiom Attack vol.1 Everyday Living (French Edition) by Peter Liptak is a book that aims to make the understanding and use of English by French-speaking people easier, through the conquering of Idioms. The book has about three hundred native American idioms, systematically applied to educate and broaden the minds of readers so that they may begin to better understand and speak English like the Americans.

This book is a really good resource for learning English. I must first inform that to use this book, you must know how to speak English at an intermediate level at least. It does not teach you how to speak or write in English, you will instead learn about idioms, their meaning, how they are applied and how to use them.
The structure of the book is one to be admired. The author categorised the book into 25 chapters, each containing fifteen idioms grouped under various situational titles that apply to real-life situations and everyday living. This affords you the flexibility of choosing what chapter is most fitting to your needs and learn it first.

One of the things that makes this book so great is the method of teaching applied by the author. The author used a three-step training method to teach idioms in a way that can easily be understood by anyone. First; you learn the meaning of Idioms through French, then you confirm them, and finally; you practice what you have learnt. Other things I like are; the book was written with easily digestible words, almost everything was written both in English and French and the stories used for teaching were interesting.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their English, this is indeed a great resource. I recommend this book to teachers and students. This is a good book for classroom learning. Tourists will find this book very useful because it is based on situational learning and as such a good resource for effective communication. If you are already learning French, then this book is a great idea too. It Is a great material to practice your French because everything is written both in French and English. Finally, I recommend Idiom Attack vol.1 Everyday Living to anyone who is interested in learning about idioms or adding to their knowledge of Idioms.

I give this book a four out of four stars. It is well-edited and there were no errors found by me. It’s educating, and easy to read. It’s not boring like some study books, learning with it was interesting and enjoyable. Looking for something enjoyable and educating to read? The French edition of Idiom Attack vol.1 Everyday Living by Peter Liptak is just for you!
