John Thurgood Thomas was sitting on his horse Pete and admiring the Colorado plains from the hillside outside his cave. His eyes caught something on the dusty road. JT looked through his spyglass. He never expected to see a carriage pulled by two horses, ladies bound to the back of the wagon and dragged behind it. Treating ladies like that was an ultimate betrayal for JT. He reached for his Sharp .50 caliber rifle, aimed, and shot.

As JT and the ladies were traveling to the nearest town JT observed that one lady looked more well fed than the other 3 ladies. That lady was not afraid to handle a weapon. First to volunteer. Reluctant to answer a simple question. Something felt wrong. but what? What is going on here?

After arriving in his township, JT gets dragged into find the people who robbed the bank. Who murdered the innocent bystanders? Will it be possible to bring them to justice? In his travels as bounty hunter. Will he be safe? What dangers are out there? Will he be able to find somebody to give him valuable information he needs?

JT returned to his cave with his extraordinary lady friend. A cave full of furniture and mysteries. How was it possible to get large furniture up the mountain and into the cave? Conducting their own mystery expedition of the cave, they were never ready for what they found.

There was only one way to help his special girl to become free, and that is to travel to New York City. Will they be able to succeed in their quest?

I will rate this book a low 3 stars out of 4 stars. The novel does not deserve a score of 2 stars as the book reads well. The story has a good flow. This publication is an enjoyable, relaxed read.

Leaving two unanswered questions in the story would have been a perfect strategy if the book was part of a sequel. Every scene in the storyline had a starting point, detail of events and a closing, except for two important incidents. It left me with questions, very disappointing to me.

I do not think they proofread the book. Referring to the wrong character in a scene is one of the biggest mistakes I found, out of my reading point of view.

I propose this novel to young adults. The story of ladies in crisis, murder and fortune will intrigue them. I will farther suggest this text to person who does not have English as their native language.
