In The Dark Web Murders, an intelligent cold-blooded, narcissistic psychopath that goes by the name: Nemein is a blogger that writes about his gruesome killing sprees on the Dark Web. Cunning and utterly merciless, he challenges those who believes he is a murderer. This includes Detective Chief Inspector Sheehan who is racing against the clock to track him down in a spiral of twists and turns that leads to an unnerving outcome.

"And pay you will," came the implacable response. "You'll pay in reams of unalloyed spiritual and emotional torture." The tone became peremptory. "Now, one last time, Sheehan. Choose!"

Did these sentences reel you in? Because if it did, then you are in for a wicked, action-packed and suspenseful thrill ride that will leave you anticipating for more. Come and embark on this journey together with Detective Sheehan to decrypt the mind that is Nemein, The Punisher.

This story is disturbing, dark, brutal, explicit, suspenseful, inhumane and filled with madness. The genre of the novel is C/T/M/H. My heart was pounding with the events that were unraveling and I was trying to read it at a fast pace without missing any details to see what happened next. I was hooked. As I was reading, I felt like I knew who the psychopath was going to choose for his last victim and it was a shocker but at the same time not really a shocker. But when my guess turned out to be correct, I did a little happy dance. And while I was doing this, I was simultaneously screaming internally because of what occurred next. It was possibly done on purpose by Brian O'Hare to do it this way. Making you feel all types of emotions while reading.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Sheehan is smart and intuitive and he approaches crime scenes with an eye for detail that his crew does not normally see. When facing new challenges, Sheehan is on the case and he will do whatever it takes to solve the crimes and get answers from any witnesses and suspects no matter their position, job title, or social status. He will not rest until the killer is locked up for good. And his statement about "the little things" are true for this book. Make sure when reading this novel to be attentive to the little things or details throughout or you will miss the big picture at the end. The characters are written so well and are interesting with bursts of personality. The symbolism behind the crimes are very well thought out given their graphic and dehumanization state of the victims. I had a strange feeling as to why the killer performed this way.

I give it a rating of, '4 out of 4 stars'. This novel was written impeccably well. There were no errors of grammar or undesirable spacing between letters that I came across even though the writing is in the United Kingdom format, it was an excellent read. The book is highly graphic with strong language and violence and erotic themes with suggestive themes. There was nothing that I disliked. The pacing and the flow of the story was good. Overall, I have enjoyed this novel very much. I would like to read more books of mysteries and thrillers by Brian O'Hare.
