The fantasy book Korian by Giorgio Garofalo. The story begins on Endura planet which more like Earth. Although it seems like Endura share similarities with Earth, Endura rich with its own history, myth, culture and legends. Firstling Doric is a 7 years old boy gifted with a special talent who always dream of the forbidden zone. Doric does not know his fate already written for him. As one night, during the Brackens Town folks lively celebrated the Sammas (god) Day feast, Doric was asked by his friend, Thane, for meeting him after the feast ended in Rivermead forest. Before Thane get to show Doric something. Out of sudden Thane disappear brought by a gust of wind. In the same forest, Doric encountered a Skine, fierce sky creature hunting its prey. Doric has other friend come from a far away land named Crogan, whom he always telepathically communicates with from far miles away. Doric's father, Seth, does not believe Crogan a real life person and thought Crogan one of Doric's imaginary friends. Seth knows of Doric ability and fear one day his son will be in danger since many peoples of Brackens Town keep disappearing. Unfortunately, Doric peaceful town becomes no longer when an evil shadowed figure suddenly makes an appearance and captured him. From that day, his life changes forever.

At the beginning phase of the story. Its norm for people doing their routine chores and Doric as always behaving like a normal boy, but deep inside Doric more than normal. He no need to drink or eat, but he need to do that to keep the nature of normalcy. He knows what will happen to the world and some dark force will one day be falling to his town. Story line not only focuses on Doric, it's also focus on other characters. How their fated journey intertwined with Doric. For example, character Crogan whom Doric come into contact with his mind and eventually becoming close until Seth feel jealous of it. Their relationship was a mystery and how they end up know each other.

The story is fast face with it's action scene and the author style of writing, portrayed the certain situation was suited to my liking. I easily understand what is going on in the story every each page. It's simple and clean in detail which is similar to the fantasy book I used to read. There is character Oren, I imagined he looked like Dobby in Harry Potter and Gollum from The Lord Of The Rings.

The prologue tells us in detail about the world in the story. Endura chronicle was tale in the Blue Book and consist of three periods, the Late Antiquity, Dark Age, and the New Age. For firstling, they live in the Late Antiquity. Then they will come to an extinction, but not all. Some who survive, such as firstling Will, had to hide his identity because the sight of a firstling are really rare since then. I've got confused which characters should I focus on. There are too many. I tried to read carefully and slowly understand the story line. It's an interesting story actually, since I'm a big fan of fantasy books. Curiously, I want to know what happen next and next. What will become of Doric's fate. Why the book title was Korian and who is Korian and how will he become the main role play. Like I already written above, there are many characters we need to recognize because they all will play their part and link to one another and after all they face the same adversary.

On page 119, chapter 7. I found mistakes in writing or something that author overlooked. In paragraph one, at the lines three of the phrases, "Oren reassured Doric Lorne would not be returning anytime soon". I supposed author should put punctuation rules such as comma or full stop. Maybe the author missed writing it and made me feel weird when reading.

Overall, I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. Nevertheless, it is a good book. Although, it's taking time for me to get used with the story line and in the end I manage it. Author have a quite good imagination and even though the book got few grammatical errors, the book still has its own potential.
