The Skills Of The Waramunga by Greg Kater

Johnny had flew to singapore to assist the new Malayan Security Service set by the British at the end of the war as an intelligent agency for the region when he was mistakenly kidnapped and taken into the jungle by the bandits. The bandits intended to get hold of Colonel Martin and with that they could accomplish their mission to demand anything from the ruling party and even take control of the town.

Jacko,Jammie and Sarrah finds their way into the jungle in suspicion their friend Johnny could have been taken up by the bandits deep into the jungle.
I like how Greg puts it how they managed to rescue him and took him to KL.
The whole story is all about chaos and murders which reflects conflicts in our everyday societies. The bandits then sets up a revenge strategy to disrupt the Malayan Union Celebration that is to be held by top government officials and during the material day, they managed to do it and got their intended government official at hand and went with im.

I just like how different scenes are brought out clearly in this story, easy to understand and much interesting.they are in a chronological order of time and concurring events are brought out so clearly. Characters are unique and their roles clearly evident throughout the story.

The book is full of fantasy, jokes, love among others and thus i would encourage youths to make a look at it. Though some scenes are gruesome, they can be managed.

I would have given this book 4-stars rating. However, i found some errors which are, i think omissions of some words. For example, on page 102,the author mistakenly wrote "what you think happened to the guards?" omitting the word 'do' in his statement. The same mistake is repeated on page 192, where wrote, "there was nowhere to run, even he could," omitting 'if' in the statement.Despite these, i feel that it is a well written book in general. Thus, i rate it 3 out of 4-stars. I recommend it to youths and those in military forces.
