THE ORB by Tara Basi

With the arrival of The Orb out of the skies, most pilgrims believed it was their god and started worshipping it. It led to the formation of The Orb industries and The Church of The Orb. They both wanted dominance over The Orb. With the Money war over just some years back, the God war started. It lasted three years, but its results were permanent of sorts. it led to the incaneration of the whole world, leaving only London as the only civilized untouched city in the whole world. Zip and her companion, Matthew, were part of the God war and fight hard to avoid another war whatsoever. They have to reanimate previous records of dead people, go through difficult situations and overcome their nightmares to succeed. Will they get what they are fighting for or will they have to witness just another war destroy what was left during the God war? Read more to enlighten yourself as you go through this journey with them.

I liked most the part where Zip overcame her emotions and nightmares, determined to know of her past life and records so as to help evade another war. I also loved it when matthew finally kills Petula for recreating him into a machine for her selfish reasons. Tramp really was of great help during the Orb event and were it not for him, there would be so much chaos and deaths between the godly, ungodly and the pilgrims themselves. I hated most the point where Zara was double crossed by the industries just so that she wouldnt relay any message to the world concerning the Orb.

I rate this book a 4 out of 4. This is because the book is so amazing and i could not believe it myself when I got to the end. It is so captivating and magnetizes you till you get to the end. Each chapter leaves you with the zeal and want to go on and discover what happens next.

The most appropriate audience would be people aged 16 years and above. Children below that age may be corrupted. The book is most appropriate for people who do not believe in extra terrestial beings as their gods.

I really loved the book and recommend everyone interested in reading it to do so. I loved the suspense it always left me in as I went on and on. It surely is not a waste of time or resources.
